Life Events

Life is full of moments worth marking, from joyful celebrations to more reflective times. Whether you’re welcoming someone with a naming day, celebrating a birthday, renewing your vows, remembering a loved one at a memorial service, or saying goodbye to a much-loved pet, a personal ceremony can help give those moments meaning and shape.

Naming Day

A Naming Day is a beautiful way for families to honour their newest arrival.

Naming ceremonies can be for babies or children who have become part of your family tapestry; a celebration of your family and of the life you are creating together.

Every child and family are unique, so your ceremony will also be unique.

Family is at the heart of every ceremony, shaped around what matters most to your family. The format is completely up to you. I’ll be there to guide and support you in your choices and ensure that your ceremony captures the essence of your family. Most importantly, the ceremony will facilitate the official naming of your child, in the presence of those closest to you and can also include:

  •  any personalised vows you wish to make to your child.
  •  an acknowledgment and naming of Godparents / supporting adults.
  • appropriate readings (I’ve got lots to share)
  • simple rituals to include older siblings or grandparents
  • unique ways of involving all of your friends and family

Renewal of Vows

A Renewal of Vows Celebration led by a celebrant is focused on you and how you want this wonderful milestone to be. I offer the flexibility to include whatever content you desire, whether religious or not. Music and readings can also be included if you wish. It’s definitely your day.

I will write and conduct a highly personalised ceremony that will reflect your individual values and beliefs. Once I have a sense of you as a couple, I can suggest ways of making your special day as meaningful as it can be.

Whether you require a ceremony that is traditional or a little more bespoke, I will be totally committed to bringing your special day to fruition.

The ceremony I create for your Renewal of Vows will be driven by the values you share as a couple. I will write your story in a way that acknowledges your journey together, from the moment you met until present day.

Birthdays

A Birthday Ceremony is a lovely way to mark an important stage in life and celebrate the person at the centre of it.

Whether it is an 18th, 40th, 60th, 80th or any other significant birthday, I will create a personalised ceremony that reflects the individual, their story, and the people who matter most to them.

Friends and family can take part through stories, music, readings, or personal contributions that make the occasion feel special and memorable.

Whether you would like something heartfelt, light-hearted, or a mixture of both, I will work with you to create a celebration that feels right for the day.

Memorial Services

A Memorial Service can be a meaningful way to remember and honour a loved one, whether this is held on an anniversary, or simply when the time feels right.

I will create a personalised ceremony that reflects the life, character, and place in your life of the person being remembered, in a way that feels appropriate for you and those gathering together.

Personal tributes, readings, music, and quiet moments of reflection can all form part of the service, shaped around the wishes of those involved.

Whether you would like something simple and intimate or a larger gathering, together we can shape a service that feels thoughtful, respectful and personal.

Loss of a Pet

The loss of a pet can leave a huge gap in our lives, and for many people it is important to mark that loss in a meaningful way.

A personalised ceremony can offer space to remember, reflect, and celebrate the companionship, loyalty, and love that a beloved pet brought to your life, while also bringing comfort to those who shared that bond.

You may wish to share stories, choose music, include readings, or simply create a quiet moment to acknowledge what they meant to you and your family.

Whether simple and private or shared with others, it can be a gentle way to honour that bond and say goodbye.
